Let Go And Let God is a statement often linked to the Keswick Theology of the Deeper Christian Life movement in the late 19th century.
Over time, it has become a renowned saying with different implications. You will see some concerned personalities tell you why Let Go And Let God is a bad idea and would even proffer an alternative such as Trust God And Get Going.
From my observation, the issue seems to be in the mind of the people making the statement instead of the statement itself. Therefore, in this message, we will look at what it means to let go and let God, with Bible verses, and how to go about it.

Let Go And Let God Meaning
The saying, Let Go And Let God, is the integration of two sets of words with an article in between them: Let Go, then Let God. It is like saying to let go is to let God, but hold on.
Let Go is synonymous with allow or permit, but a more fitting replacement is release or surrender. To fully understand the saying, you must identify what you have that should be submitted or surrendered. Is it your abilities or inabilities? Is it your strength or weakness?
For instance, you had an encounter with someone or something and are troubled or burdened. Maybe someone offended you, or you are afraid of the unknown. Then, I came to you and said, Let Go or let it go. What I did was advise you to relieve yourself of that problem. I did not mean you should do nothing; I meant you should not do the wrong things.
The introduction of Let God (though part of the advice) is an encouragement that God will intervene according to His will. So rather than reacting negatively, surrender that burden, and God will do justice to it.
With that said, Let Go And Let God means surrender and allow God to intervene accordingly. It is like saying, do not pay back evil for evil, for God will repay. Or do not worry, for God will provide. Contrary to some views, I do not see it taking away the sovereignty of God but acknowledging Him.
The expression takes the burden from a person and points their attention to God. It does not stop them from doing the needful. Instead, it encourages them to trust in the Lord.
If we see the expression in that light, then we can see instructions and advice in the Bible that align with it.
Let Go And Let God Bible Verse
If you are looking for Let Go And Let God verse, you should know that the statement is found nowhere in the Bible. But there are Bible verses that are relative to it, as discussed above. I will share five of them with you!
“Therefore don’t be anxious for tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Each day’s own evil is sufficient.” Matthew 6:34.
“A man’s heart plans his course, but Yahweh directs his steps.” Proverbs 16:9.
“Depart from evil, and do good. seek peace, and pursue it.” Psalms 34:14.
“Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness.” Isaiah 41:10.
“Now to him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to him be the glory in the assembly and in Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever. Amen.” Ephesians 3:20–21.

How To Let Go And Let God
You cannot give God control because He never lost it; God is in control because He is God. He knows the end from the beginning. With that, you, as a person, can submit to God and accept what He does for you.
Let me share with you three ways to let go and let God.
- Understand that only the will of God will stand.
- Pray to God about it.
- Live life while it lasts.
As The Believers Today, while you live, you must rest on the promises of God, casting all your worries on Him because He cares for you.
